THE CARS were easily one of the most popular bands from the late 70's and early 80's. Their first album is among the best debut records of all time, selling 6 million copies and winning the award of BEST NEW ARTIST in a 1978 Rolling Stone Magazine readers poll and spent an impressive 139 weeks on the Billboard 200. One could say they were a band ahead of their time, as they helped shape the 80's "new wave" sound which is still hugely popular almost 40 years later. During the 1980’s The Cars had 4 top 10 hits, Shake it Up, You Might Think, Drive and Tonight She Comes and to this day sold more than 23 million copies and had 13 Top 40 singles in the US alone.  The band also took home the trophy for video of the year for You Might Think at the first MTV awards in 1984.  Though the band broke up in 1988 and 2 members, Ric Ocasek & Benjamin Orr have passed on, the bands music and popularity remain with continued radio play across the nation and worldwide, PLUS the Cars were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame

In 2001, Darryl Battaglia was looking to put together a band that would appeal to the mass audience who loved the sound and total vibe of the 80's. He was inspired to form the original tribute to the Cars, Candy-O. 
Covering all of the Cars’ radio hits as well as popular album cuts, as well as some deep cuts, Candy-O captures the terminal cool of the Cars live performance with a fun-filled, family-friendly show that is primed and ready for your nightclub, casino, 80’s party, Cruise ship and/or Cooperate Event. 23 years later and still going strong, the band has consistently amazed and entertained crowds from coast to coast & many stops in-between.
